Anyways, for those of you who have been curious about my new story idea that will feature lots of characters - here is the run down.

Title: Rebirth of the Coliseum
Setting: Modern day/Present Day Earth
Location: Rome, Italy
Site: The Coliseum (Rebuilt and enhanced for modern warfare)
Plot: The story starts out with the world's economic system in near shambles. One of my OCs vanishes one day without a trace. A few years later, the Coliseum is rebuilt and flyers are sent out all over the world for the whole population to watch a series of Gladiator-type games in the rebuilt Coliseum. The 'Gladiators' are nothing more than criminals and those seeking for a glorious way to leave this world behind for good. The Gladiators also have the chance to win their way out of the Coliseum, just as in the old days of the Roman Empire. Weapons range from those ancient weapons to modern day weapons technology. To protect the audience, there is a powerful energy shield that encloses the part of the Coliseum where the gladiators do battle. It is unable to be seen by anyone, UNLESS, a weapon of any kind hits the barrier. Once that happens, the shield will flicker and flare up and then settle back down to transparency.
Characters: Queen of the Coliseum, King of the Coliseum, audience, vendors, bet takers, guards, and gladiators.
